I had such a good conversation with the guy I lifeguard with today. It was our last shift of the term and we got a lot of good “floor time” AKA when no one is swimming so we get to lay on the floor on yoga mats using our lifeguard tubes as pillows and chat. We talked about name-letter association, and dealing with classes we’re not excited about and how to stay happy at a school like this one. I feel really good about the rapport we’ve established over the last ten weeks, and I hope we’ll keep talking. Too bad he’ll be abroad next fall.
fyi: potato = successful splinter removal technique
had one of the best nights I’ve had in looooong time last night. As a result I do have a splinter in my foot. so now I have a piece of raw potato taped to my foot because the internet told me it will bring it to the surface for easier removal?
augh, first time writing a paper in a while, definitely a little rusty.
